SmoothStar Skateboards

SmoothStar make the ultimate in surf training boards. Their patented truck system realistically mimics the feel of a surfboard, only on land.
This allows the rider the chance to practice maneuvers over and over without having to wait for the right section to present itself, as you would in the water.
This is what makes the SmoothStar boards a great option for surf training and flat day fun.

The Trucks

Smoothstar skateboards are fitted with a conventional skateboard truck at the rear and up front they have a patented truck called a 'Thruster'. The thruster uses in an internal spring mechanism to transform what looks like a regular skateboard into a high performance surf skate machine that is able to accelerate into and out of turns.

The Ride

The Thruster makes the front of the board loose so the board can turn and drive off the back trucks – the same as you would with surfboard rails and fins… the feel is “rail-to-rail” surfing on land.
