The O'Neill Hyperfreak in Technobutter is one of those suits you look at and think "that thing looks epic", then you feel the suit and are left a little speechless. At first we thought there was no way that a suit this soft would hold up in cold conditions. Being a 'performance wetsuit' (meaning warmth is not it's No.1 goal), the focus has been on creating a suit that is super light, extremely flexible and incredibly comfortable. It's safe to say that after a few sessions in the Hyperfreak, the suit lives up to the claims for comfort and performance.
"Construction so light, you'd swear you were surfing naked."
Along with the super soft and light Technobutter 3 (TBX3) material it has all the usual suspects of a quality performance suit...minimal seam design, unfinished cuffs, and durable Krypto Knee Padz.
We are pretty pumped on this wetsuit and if your looking for a quality wetty at a good price too we suggest scroll down the page for some more buttery details.

O’Neill has an exclusive new pre-stretched neoprene called Technobutter (tasty) with a super light, ENVY foam rubber core. This makes the O'Neill Hyperfreak one of the lightest and most flexible suits on the market, and at just $399.99 for the 3/2 Hyperfreak fullsuit, you need to give this suit a run. It's fast become a staff favourite with the crew saying it's easily 'the softest material i've ever had in a wetty...super comfy with heaps of flex".
Comes in both a Chest Zip and Zipperless entry. The Chest Zip has a handy little anti flush barrier to keep you warm and comfy.
Arms/Back/Shoulders are made from TB3X - this is that super soft and light material we mentioned above.
The Chest/Legs are made from TB3, O'Neills exclusive maximum stretch, hydrophobic neoprene with featherlight ENVY foam rubber core for warmth and comfort.
The suits are that light and comfortable that the team at O'Neill claim it's one of the most comfortable, flexible and lightest wetsuits they have tried. The crew at Surfboard Empire gave it a try and it's hard to disagree with them.
Fully taped seams to ensure maximum warmth, strength and durability.
