Micks Tape Goofy With Spray
...Lost MicksTape – Progressive Asymmetrical Small Wave Surfboard
The ...Lost MicksTape is an innovative asymmetrical surfboard designed to unlock speed, control, and performance in everyday waves. Created through a collaboration between legendary shaper Matt Biolos and renowned designer Donald Brink, the MicksTape was originally built for Mick Fanning to ride in Stab’s 2022 Electric Acid Surfboard Test in the Maldives.
Designed under a strict 5’3” length limit, the challenge was to create a compact board capable of elite-level surfing in powerful waves. The result was a highly refined asymmetrical design that combines excess where needed and restraint where it matters. With generous volume packed into a shorter outline, the MicksTape offers speed, drive, and the ability to fit into tighter pockets and steeper sections with ease.
This is not your everyday shortboard replacement—it’s a performance-driven compliment to your quiver. A board built to make average surf more exciting, crowded line-ups more manageable, and progressive surfing more accessible. The asymmetrical design is stance-specific, helping regular and goofy foot surfers maximise leverage on toe-side turns while adding control and drive on heel-side rail work.
